SEO or Search Engine Optimization is the organic process for which a website appears on Google.  The listings that show first in Google have the best SEO and drive the most website traffic.  We measure success by having you rank higher than your competition.   Google is all about relevancy.  For example, if someone searches for a plumber in Phoenix, Google will display the best plumbers in Phoenix who are available. This keeps users coming back and searching for more.
The first listings you see are paid ads.  This is how Google makes their money.  These are expensive, but it will get you in front of your potential customer.
The next results you see are organic listings. These are 100% FREE!  A company earns this position by complying with Google's algorithm.  The best position goes to the most relevant site.
Why is Local SEO important?
Google is the go-to resource for everything.  Whether you are looking for the definition to a word, a place to eat lunch at or a recommendation on what roofer to use. Local SEO will give you a presence in a specific geographical area on the highest traffic website in the world.

What is the difference between Local SEO and SEO?
Location.  Geography. Cities, zip codes, street.  If you are a local business trying to target to the local community, then Local SEO should be your desired product.  If you offer a service or product worldwide, then you need to be found on the Global search results page.  The difference is looking for a "plumber near me" or being found globally under the search of "plumber".

Who determines who's the best?
Anytime you hear SEO, you have probably also heard the word Backlinks.  It's an important aspect to the algorithm and carries a lot of weight.  Google wants to see other quality sites that link to your site.  This shows your site as an authoritative source and gives you more value.  The most important factors in link building is the total quantity, number of unique domains, anchor text variance and the link age and quality.  We work with high quality sites for backlinking our clients.

What are backlinks?
It depends on the industry and location. The more competitive, the longer it takes. Non-competitive industries/locations can take as little as 3 months to become fully optimized. Larger cities and more competitive industries can take as long as 12-18 months to fully optimize.  For example, a window washing company in Flagstaff will optimize much sooner than a personal injury attorney in Los Angeles.

How long does it take?
Unfortunately, once you get your site fully optimized and your placement on Google is perfect...they'll change the algorithm again.  It is believed that Google makes changes to their algorithm between 500 and 600 times a year!  This keeps all the results relevant.
Google puts the websites that comply with their algorithm first.  Portions of this mysterious algorithm includes relevant content, blogs, pictures, video, meta tags, positive reviews, mobile friendly sites, favicons, backlinks, etc., etc., etc...
